Even though it’s cold, winter is often the easiest time to start birdwatching! With visiting summer birds out of town for the winter, we can focus on recognizing and enjoying a much smaller number of winter-resident species. Join us for a walk and discover the joy of winter birdwatching in the Arboretum. This program will be led by Heather Desorcie, educator in the Pollinator and Bird Garden, and Jason Beale, animal care program director at Shaver’s Creek Environmental Center. Meet at the Overlook Pavilion. Please bring your own binoculars if possible; the Arboretum has an extremely limited number of binoculars to loan. These will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis. ● Fee: Free ● All ages welcome ● No registration required ● For questions about this program, please contact Timothy Gould at twg5075@psu.edu / 814-867-4262.
