Pumpkin Giveaway for Jack-o’-Lantern Contest (Arboretum)

The Arboretum at Penn State invites everyone to enter our annual jack-o’-lantern contest! A thousand pumpkins will be given away on Sunday, October 2, to contest entrants between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. behind the Overlook Pavilion in the H.O. Smith Botanic Gardens. Come early for the best selection! (You may also provide your own pumpkin for the contest.) Registration of contest entries will occur from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Friday, October 7, at the Overlook Pavilion. Jack-o’-lanterns will be lighted and displayed from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, October 7 and 8. Start planning your pumpkin’s design!
